Following the success of his debut album “A Place I Like To Go To”, Sydney based Singer-Songwriter Ben Walker returns with a fresh contemporary sound delivering the beautiful emotive ballad “Boat Time”.

“Boat Time” is the first song from a set of sessions with highly experienced producer Rod Motbey and while the musical journey is clear, the deeply personal storytelling, hallmarks of a Ben Walker song, are there for all to see. Written about a sailing holiday in New Zealand’s Bay of Islands the song showcases the areas natural beauty and the importance of emotional connection and escape. Talking about the experience and the song Ben says “It was January 2010, the end of our first year in Australia and while we were loving settling into our new home, change is a challenge and we need an escape. We went sailing on a gorgeous little boat in the Bay of Islands and it was like the place wrapped its arms around us – every day – the natural beauty, the warmth and the joy of sharing it all with my beautiful Wife – it was a magical retreat and I’ve tried to capture that in the song.”.
